<p>AfterQuery builds the expert evaluation data that frontier AI labs use to measure and improve their models. We're hiring certified medical interpreters as contractors to author and grade the clinical interpretation scenarios those evaluations run on.</p>

<p><strong>What you'll actually do</strong></p>

<ul><li>Author realistic clinical interpretation scenarios, from intake visits to informed consent conversations</li><li>Write reference interpretations with the terminology and register decisions behind each rendering</li><li>Grade model output for accuracy, completeness, and clinical register in both languages</li><li>Flag renderings that read fluent but change the clinical meaning</li></ul>

<p><strong>Who this is for</strong></p>

<ul><li>CMI or CHI certified medical interpreters, or holders of an equivalent credential</li><li>Working interpreters with at least 2 years in clinical settings</li><li>Interpreters with full professional command of medical terminology in both working languages</li><li>Clear writers who can document the reasoning behind an interpretation decision</li></ul>

<p><strong>Contract and pay</strong></p>

<ul><li><strong>$55 to $95/hr</strong>, paid weekly via Stripe. Your rate is set from your experience, not negotiated down after you start.</li><li>Fully remote, fully async. No fixed hours.</li><li>Minimum 10 hours per week, no maximum. Scale up or down week to week.</li><li>No screen recording, no keystroke monitoring, no idle timers.</li><li>Independent contractor. Ongoing project work rather than single task batches.</li></ul>

Responsibilities

• Author realistic clinical interpretation scenarios
• Write reference interpretations with the reasoning behind each terminology choice
• Grade model output for accuracy, register, and clinical meaning
• Flag renderings that read fluent but change the clinical meaning

Required qualifications

• CMI or CHI certification, or an equivalent medical interpreter credential
• 2+ years of interpreting in clinical settings
• Full professional command of medical terminology in both working languages
• Clear written English for documenting interpretation decisions
• Able to commit at least 10 hours per week

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in high stakes settings such as oncology, emergency, or informed consent conversations
• Telephonic and video remote interpreting experience
• Sight translation of medical documents
