<p>AfterQuery builds the expert evaluation data that frontier AI labs use to measure and improve their models. We're hiring biologists as contractors to author and grade the life science scenarios those evaluations run on. This is the anchor listing for our life, physical, and social science domain, and every biology specialty is welcome here.</p>

<p><strong>What you'll actually do</strong></p>

<li>Author realistic biology scenarios from experimental design through interpretation, the kind a working scientist actually reasons through.</li>

<li>Write reference answers with the scientific reasoning behind each conclusion, mechanisms and evidence weighed.</li>

<li>Grade model output for mechanistic accuracy, evidence handling, and appropriate uncertainty.</li>

<li>Flag explanations that read fluent but get the biology wrong, the misses only a trained scientist would catch.</li>

Required qualifications

• Advanced degree in biology or a closely related field, or equivalent research experience
• 2+ years of research, industry, or teaching experience in the life sciences
• Depth in a biology area such as genetics, ecology, microbiology, or physiology
• Clear written English for documenting scientific reasoning
• Able to commit at least 10 hours per week

Preferred qualifications

• PhD and peer reviewed publications
• Wet lab or field research experience
• Teaching or science communication experience
